My Journey: A Story of Resilience, Sacrifice, and Triumph.

My name is Jr Benson Ugo, and my life has been a journey filled with challenges, sacrifices, and ultimately, triumphs. I was born in Libya, with Nigerian roots, and spent the early years of my childhood in a country I called home. My life was like that of any child, full of dreams and ambitions, until 2011, when the Libyan Civil War changed everything.

At just 11 years old, I was forced to leave my homeland. The sounds of bombs, the fear for my family, and the uncertainty of the future followed me until the day I found myself on a boat headed toward a future I could barely imagine. I arrived in Italy, landing in Pozzallo, with nothing but a strong will to start over. I didn’t know what lay ahead, but I knew I needed to find the strength to move forward.


The Early Struggles: Finding My Place in a New World.

The early years in Italy were tough. I lived in several foster communities for minors, where every day was a battle. I missed my family, and I missed having a place I could truly call home. Yet, despite the challenges, I was determined to learn, to adapt, and to build a better future for myself.

One of the most surprising aspects of this time was how quickly I learned Italian. I pushed myself to talk to the other kids, to listen, and to observe, knowing that learning the language was my first step toward integration into this new life.

At 14, my life changed for the better when I was entrusted to my current family. They welcomed me with open arms, providing me with the love, support, and stability I needed. They gave me a sense of direction and opportunities I had never had before. With their help, I focused on my education and began shaping a vision for my future.


Sports: A Universal Language and My
Constant Companion.

Throughout all of this, one thing remained constant in my life: sports. Sports were my refuge, my balance, and my universal language. From a young age, sports taught me to believe in myself, set goals, and push beyond my limits.

I practiced athletics, specializing in the 100 meters and long jump, and played rugby, soccer, and other disciplines. But sports were more than just physical activity for me—they were a way to express myself, connect with others, and find inner strength even in the hardest times.


Entering the Workworld:
A New Chapter of Challenges.

At 19, I graduated from high school with good grades and thought the next step would be straightforward: finding a stable job and building my future. However, I quickly learned that the working world wasn’t as simple as I had imagined.

I started working part-time at the age of 17, spending a few hours a day at a betting center and later taking evening shifts at a pizzeria to earn a little extra. It wasn’t much, but it gave me a sense of independence and taught me the value of hard work.

After finishing school, things became more intense. I couldn’t find a single stable job, so I ended up juggling three jobs: mornings in a construction company, afternoons back at the betting center, and evenings at the pizzeria.

The days were endless. I’d wake up early, rush from one job to another, and come home exhausted, often too tired even to eat properly. The gym became a luxury I couldn’t afford—not just financially but in terms of time and energy. But one thing I refused to give up on was fitness.


Home Workouts:
The Foundation of Jbuzone

During this challenging time, I discovered the value of home workout plans and bodyweight workout plans, which are now two of the main categories of JBUZone. I began working out at home, using whatever free moments I had, because I couldn’t let go of something that gave me so much strength and balance.

Even just ten minutes of bodyweight exercises in the morning allowed me to start the day with a different mindset. These workouts not only kept me physically active but also helped me stay mentally strong during those demanding years.

Eventually, things began to improve. After years of hard work, I found more stable jobs—first in a window manufacturing company and later in a metalworking company. While the work was still demanding, having fixed hours allowed me to get back into a regular gym routine. With a more consistent income, I could afford a gym membership and finally resume my fitness journey with greater focus.


The Turning Point: A Stable Career and
the Birth of Jbuzone

The real turning point came when I applied for a position at Enel. After years of juggling multiple jobs and enduring countless challenges, I passed the selection process and secured a stable role at Enel S.p.A. This newfound stability gave me the time and mental space to focus on what I truly love: fitness, And that’s how Jbuzone was born.

Jbuzone is more than a blog it’s the result of everything I’ve lived and learned. It’s my way of giving back what fitness has given to me. I created JBUZone not just to share my passion but to provide practical guidance to anyone looking to improve themselves. This platform is a place where people can find real tools, inspiration, and a deeper understanding of fitness. No empty promises, no superficial content only strategies and insights that truly make a difference.

If I was able to build a new life from scratch, I firmly believe that anyone can. With discipline, resilience, and a commitment to constant progress, we can achieve any goal, both in fitness and in life.
